Went out and about Santa Cruz with Marie, Amelia, and my sister. We went to the mystery spot then in to town for brunch. We ate at a place called Zachary’s and it was delicious. From there we walked really far to the boardwalk, meandered around because it wasn’t clear if we could go on without tickets, then walked in. It was very crowded so we only looked for a bit. The beach was packed.
We took my sister back to the air b&b then she left. We went to a place called the crow’s nest for dinner. Amelia peed her pants on the way there and when I tried to convince Marie we could just tied a shirt around her waist she grabbed me by the shoulders, looked in my eyes, then said “you have to listen to me.”
We had an amazing seafood dinner overlooking the already dark water. We were one of the last few tables in the restaurant. It was by far the most I have ever spent on a dinner and it was worth every penny. We got home late because we needed to stop for aloe and pads.
I love my sister, and it was great seeing her, but it really threw our holiday for a loop. She has time to go out often and this is the first time in over and year Marie and I have had time like this to ourselves. Too, my sister can be controlling in her own way. We all can, but I am under the impression that if I said something she would get defensive like normal and then it’d be a whole thing.
I don’t know. I’ll talk to my mom about it.
