Getting the rental car took a bit longer than anticipated this morning so we got on the road later than expected. All along the way to Monterey there was traffic, but even then nothing went slow. Our ETA changed from 12:30 to 1:00 to 2:00. We eventually arrived around 2:45pm. It was really great to see my sister. She’s a bit of a stickler and I was worried during the drive since we don’t talk much, but I can feel things warming up. We walked around, got some food from an Italian sandwich shop, then went to Carmel where all the riches live. It was lovely in a way that you implant upon it. The sunset over the ocean sent a calm over me. The air B&B looks acceptable and the owners don’t look like they’ll steal our kidneys.
