Appreciation

The past two days have been nice. My work bought us lunch and cookies yesterday, and they’re treating us to breakfast and then barbecue for lunch. It’s field support appreciation day/week so they’re throwing it all out there for us.

The other teams in our office, which we don’t really see since we come in to the building on separate days, are here with us as well. There’s a very nice energy. It’s sort of like the last week in elementary school—you know there are still rules, but the spring is warming everything up and there’s a vibration in the air. There might be work to be done but no one cares.

My boss and another manager were talking about cars. My coworker had went and moved my boss’ car while she set up the breakfast spread. When she asked where he parked we all joked that he hid it. I went “answer me these riddles three, and then you’ll find your Mitsubishi.” It made Matthew, a very lovely looking man who is sitting across from me right now, laugh out loud.

I will ride this high all day.

P.S. my coworkers and I all coordinated our outfits. We are wearing all black and braided our hair. Mine was just long enough for Marie to do last night. I have gotten several compliments about it and I am very happy.
