3/12/26 I don’t know how to feel about having missed a writing day. Obviously I won’t flagellate myself, but I’m struggling with the acceptance.

Quinceañera
3/8/26 We went to Marie’s mom’s cousin’s daughter’s quinceañera yesterday evening. It was an absolutely blast. It wasn’t super packed since they decided to do it a little last minute, but I think it turned out great. Marie’s parents love to dance, and I love to dance with Marie. I probably danced for a goodContinue reading “Quinceañera”
Siding with the Fish
3/6/26 I haven’t had a bad dream in a few nights. But that is likely because I haven’t been able to get into a deep sleep the past few evenings.
Weaning
3/4/26 I did not feel up to writing last night. I’ve had some serious migraines as of late and last night was no different. They are manageable up to certain points, but after a time they just become exhausting. Small shame on me for now writing earlier, I suppose.
Normal is Nice
3/1/26 A new month has begun. I spent the two mornings of this weekend doing yard work. There was an old, dead bush I pulled out from the front of the townhouse. I swept the little turf section in the backyard to get all the dust, dirt, and rocks off of it. It actually madeContinue reading “Normal is Nice”
Haloing
2/27/26 I had a headache that lasted the entire day yesterday. Technically, I think that counts as a migraine. It subsided in the evening a bit, but its dull throb persisted. I went to bed early in the hopes that would help.
Keep the Magic
The new tooth fairy pilot program has some kinks to work out.
A Necessary Peace
2/23/26 Marie and I had a huge fight last night. I don’t think either of us was in the right. There has been a lot of tension since we moved out, and it all compounded after an interestingly charged weekend. She went to sleep on the couch, and then came in the room sometime afterContinue reading “A Necessary Peace”
Fridge Magnets
2/21/26 The sun was out today. It made our home warm in the morning, and for that I was grateful.
Gauntlet
2/19/26 Today had some highs and lows. I am trying a difficult gauntlet in the MMORPG I play and made it the furthest I have since I stayed (last night). I am trying to take it day-by-day and really commit to improving, not just succeeding on the first try. I’m hoping this creates a positiveContinue reading “Gauntlet”
Damned Groundhog
2/17/26 It was another gray and glum day. It rained nearly all day yesterday, and somehow even more today. The sun—who strolled about all last week—lured me into a false sense of security. That damned groundhog and his accurate weather predictions.
Content (for now)
Cuddled with the baby boy and felt the world slow down because of it.
(or maybe luckily)
No more acid reflux and ebbing self-loathing, but also no more head high. Pros and cons, to be sure.
Flavorless
2/11/26 Smoking feels like such a chore now. It always has been, to a degree, but it’s changed.
Sleeping Undertow
What do you mean you left the oars on the house boat?

His dad had a pony that whinny’d as a demon trapped in an equine vessel would
Omelette in an Egg Basket
2/6/26 Today was an omelette in an egg basket.
I Continue to Play
2/4/26 I am skipping Tuesday. It is forgotten. It was not a terrible day, but I am trying to write the day I experience, and not the day I remember. In order to succeed I need to build in time to procrastinate. And in order to allow space for procrastination, I must not also wasteContinue reading “I Continue to Play”
A Day of Fluctuations
Ouch! I just smacked my shin on a benchmark.
Breath of the Trees
Four weeks of fog.
