To be frank I am not sure where to start. I tried to begin a daily journal last year around this time and kept on it pretty steadily until the whole world dissolved to a pandemic. Odd, isn’t it? I was writing strong everyday and then Marie went to Arizona for a dance conference and while she was gone it all broke bad. I remember being worried that she wouldn’t be able to come home over plane.

Amelia was only two the last time I wrote and now she’s sprung into a 3 year old. How time flies. There’s no grand observation here yet, just wonder at the fact that the little bean—despite the world’s best efforts—continues to grow.

In all honesty the only reason I am starting this project up again is because of a monetary investment. I recently got an email letting me know I was charged $107 for a domain re-subscription as well as hosting and I thought “glad to know the ghosts of my failed creative projects can still haunt me.” So, to convince myself that I am actually making a worthwhile investment in myself as a creator I’m gonna go ahead and give this the college try.

I downloaded a word counting app because I’ll probably just write my journals on my phone and get them up on this blog through my phone because I can’t be bothered to use a laptop again.

I am still alive, as is my family, and for that I am thankful. Thank you much for reading. Have a good rest of your day.
