Anger for Change

5-28-21

Been taking some theatre workshops as part of the fringe festival I wrote for. So far I’ve done one on how to produce theatre when your friends are involved in the process as well as inclusivity and equity in theatre. They were both very educational and I learned a lot. Taking these classes has helped me realize I might want to work in arts administration. Per the equity class we have to survive, but we can infiltrate systems of power and create what change we can from the inside. It’s not liberatory but it’s something. If there’s modest help and I can support my family it seems better than a job to make someone else profit so we can not suffer as much as others. Per the equity class hope is a lie. I will use my anger for change.
