Per my bosses instructions we’ll need to sever ties with the employee as soon as possible. Tomorrow is the day. I feel confused. Deep down I don’t think the position is a right fit for the person. My manager and I don’t think their heart is into it. But I think that’s stuff we tell ourselves to make us feel better. To make the sting of denying someone work a little more palatable. I don’t know. We will have to call M. in the morning to discuss how we’re tearing this band aid off. I am alive and well, but what does that mean in the context of other’s lives?
