The drive back from San Diego was fucking long. We didn’t leave the hotel until around 10:00am which is an hour later than we planned. Marie’s mom took a long time to get ready. Then, after only driving for an hour, we stopped for at least 45 minutes to get McDonald’s and gas. It was frustrating. We should have been in and out. Beyond that Marie’s dad did not stick to the route he planned and because of that he got us turned around (read: lost) 2 or 3 times. It was another 12 hour drive topped off by an extra hour and a half as we had to drive back home from their house. Marie and I didn’t get home until about 1:00am. Fucking exhausting.
