Last day of august and the sickness still won’t leave. Have been sick for almost a week now. I’m not debilitated, but gosh damn I do not like this feeling. There is phlegm and coughing and soreness and aches. My mucus is a sickly, almost neon green, and the stuff I cough up is flecked with dark spots. I’ve been taking cough medicine and I can feel it fucking with my digestion. Altogether I am together but I am over the slog of everything. I am actually getting a COVID test on Thursday since this thing won’t leave me be. I’m vaccinated, and I haven’t gotten worse. But in the end I also haven’t gotten better.
