Indulged in the holiday a bit as the crushing reality of living in a neoliberal, capitalistic hell-scape got a little heady today. Chauvin might be convicted but within the half hour of the announcement police killed a 15 year old black girl in Ohio. It’s institutional and a rotted, bloated system set to preserve itself and those in power. Missed the immigrant rights group meeting I joined last June because I was buying weed, so will reach out to them for volunteer opportunities. Also reached out to a homeless shelter for opportunities there. Here’s to making the change I want to see in my own community.
