This post might sound a bit silly but I was playing video games with other people online and a random player cussed me out because I broke an unspoken rule and it really hurt my feelings. I guess I was more taken aback than hurt. She was the first truly unkind player I’ve played with. There have been other grumpy people who get mad when things don’t go their way, but this person was straight up pissed. It put me in a funk for the rest of the night. How unhappy do you have to be to scream at a stranger because of a game? Maybe I’m taking it too much to heart but I just think it’s important to take a deep breath and rethink where you’re putting your energy.
