Another day back home. There is a stillness today. We all know we’re not on vacation anymore, and even then that’s not anything concrete for Amelia. She knows we’re home, though, and that things are back to the way they were. We all missed home in our own way, but still the shore calls to us. Marie had work today so the illusion of rest is completely gone to her. Watching Amelia felt normal. Everything normal. We went to the park after I clocked out and then chilled in the cooling twilight of evening. When Marie got home the night was tired and so were we.
