Marie and Amelia went out of town again. Marie is going a lot more since she has more her schedule well in advance now. It is an odd feeling. I love having them around, and I only realize when they’re gone how attuned I am to that. Amelia is at home with me while I work so there is a quiet there that can be unfamiliar. While I cherish what it is, part of me longs for company. More so, the structure that having other people around provides means that I can work at balance for all (my strong suit) rather than balance for me (a weak spot).
