A very lazy Saturday spent running errands and staying indoors. Beat the heat as best as possible, but it seeps into your lungs, makes your organs sweat. When Marie came home we got ready and then went to her parents’ house with Amelia. They are out of town so it was just the 3 of us. We’re picking their dogs up in the morning since they’ve been boarded for a few days. Driving to their house in the late, summer dusk was calm—watching the clouds melt from white to gold to evening maroon and feeling the heat untangle itself from our hair.
